Red Shoe Crew-Walk for Families Event raises more than $1.36M since the inaugural event in 2012

Starting in September 2012, just days before the official opening of Ronald McDonald House Charities Newfoundland and Labrador, the Red Shoe Crew – Walk for Families has become the largest annual fundraising event.

As the event enters its seventh year, more than $1.36 million has been raised to support the programs and services at Ronald McDonald House.

The Red Shoe Crew – Walk for Families takes place in communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and each event is hosted by a dedicated volunteer leader and committee! Last year, the Red Shoe Crew – Walk for Families took place in more than 40 communities.

Each year, sponsors, volunteers, staff, RMHC families, and invited guests, gather at Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro Headquarters in St. John’s for the Final Step Event where the grand total is announced. As well, during this event the provincial top fundraiser prize is awarded and other awards and presentations are made.
